Before moving to Brisbane from Berlin, Sabrina started the @brisbanesunsets Instagram page to get an idea of what her new surroundings looked like.  She quickly realised that the interest in the group – and photography in Brisbane more generally – was unexpectedly high, so she decided to start this initiative!  The Photography in Brisbane team members have varied and diverse backgrounds and are passionate about education and helping others tell their stories.

Turning light, nature, people and products into unique visions that share a story is something that fills Jonathan with delight. His journey to learn how best to achieve this has taken twenty years, so far. It began as a student of fourteen learning the craft of theatre and what elements lend drama to a scene. But it wasn’t until he owned an early 2 megapixel digital camera that Jonathan was able to begin combining this knowledge with a technology that allowed him to record and then augment the landscapes, events and cities around him. Subsequent cameras and the rise of advanced editing and design tools has further seen his knack for creativity develop with a ‘mobile-first’ approach that he is passionate about sharing for the way it empowers everyone to see their own stories come to life.

After 17 years as an Educator, Jonathan founded, an organisation that aims to serve our community by developing the Future Literacies framework to show ‘how’ learners can thrive in the future. He is also the Founder and Creative Director of www.JNXYZ.VISION, a creative agency producing design, photographic and social media solutions.

Jonathan is an Advance Queensland Digital Community Champion, a New Media Consortium K-12 Ambassador (USA), has been awarded the Learning Without Frontiers Primary Innovator Award, and is a consortium board member for the Gen [In] Queensland Student Innovation and Entrepreneur Alliance.
